Starter Guide

Introduction

Welcome to the world of Delanor! This is a quick guide to help get you started on your adventure when you first login. I'll do my best to cover the basics for both Main and Ironman accounts, but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask in game or on Discord. Our community and staff are all very friendly and welcoming of new players.

Commands and Rules

The first thing I would recommend you do after creating you account, game mode, and going through the tutorial is to look at all of the commands available which can be accessed by typing ::commands in your chat bar and looking at the Rules.

Home

Now we will go over the home area and give you a quick tour of where everything is located to help you find your way around easier. The easiest way to get to the home area is by utilizing the ::home command or using Ctrl + h.

Grand Exchange and Bank

When you teleport home in the center you will see the Grand Exchange (which can be used to buy and sell items to other players - Ironman accounts can't access the Grand Exchange). There is also bankers located within the Grand Exchange area.

Donator Store, Outlast Tournament Entrance, Slayer Masters, and Otto Godblessed

To the East of the Grand Exchange and Bank you will see the Donator Store, Outlast Tournament Entrance, Slayer Masters, and Otto Godblessed.

Donator Store

The Donator Store has items that can be purchased with Donator points that will help boost your gameplay. ($ scrolls can be bought from other players in game or from donating via the online store).

Outlast Tournament Entrance

The Outlast Tournament Entrance is the red portal where players can go to fight in a variety of different types of gear (already stocked for you once you enter the Tournament) against others to gain Tournament points which can be used to buy items from the Tournament Manager in the Tournament Shop located just next to the red portal.

Slayer Masters

There are different Slayer Masters that provide a different assortment of tasks:

Elf Tracker - Provides Crystalline tasks and requires level 70 Slayer to access.

Nieve - Provides regular tasks and requires only level 1 Slayer to access.

Captain Kraken - Provides Kraken tasks, costs 5m gp, and requires level 87 Slayer to access.

Krystilia - Provides wilderness tasks and requires only level 1 Slayer to access.

There are Slayer rewards and a Slayer Store which can be accessed by right clicking Nieve:

Otto Goblessed

Otto Godblessed is located next to the Slayer Masters and he can convert your Zammy Spear to a Hasta (requires 10m gp) or your Hasta back to a Zammy Spear (requires 5m gp).

Voting Shop, Mills, Entomologist, and Thessalia

Located just North of the Grand Exchange and Bank you will see the Voting Shop, Mills (Zamorak Mage), Entomologist (Pieces of Eight Shop), and Thessalia (Makeover/Fancy Shop).

Voting Shop

The Voting Shop is where you can exchange Vote Crystals and PKP tickets. You can also trade him to get access to the Vote Shop which requires Vote points to purchase from (Exchange Vote Crystals for Vote points).

Mills (Zamorak Mage)

Mills can provide you essence pouches, teleports to the essence mine, and abyss.

Entomologist

Searching the Entomologist will give you access to the Pieces of Eight Shop, you can get Pieces of Eight by mining crashed stars.

Thessalia

Right clicking Thessalia gives you the access to change your character and buy different clothing from the Fancy Shop.

Key Chests, Ironman Shop/Recruiter, and Daily Reward Manager

Located just North West of the Grand Exchange and Bank are the Key Chests, Ironman Shop/Recruiter, and the Daily Reward Manager.

Key Chests

In the Key Chest area there are these chests available:

Unbearable Chest - Requires Unbearable Key to loot

Seren Chest - Requires Seren Key to loot

Brimstone Chest - Requires Brimstone Key to loot

Vote Key Chest - Requires Vote Key to loot

Maledictus Key Chest - Requires Maledictus Key to loot

Frost Key Chest - Requires Frost Key to loot

To see the loot that can be obtained from each chest you can simply go to the quest tab, click the little orange book icon, and then click Loot Tables.

Ironman Recruiter and Shop

The Ironman Recruiter can be used to recruit new people to your Group Ironman team. The Ironman Shop can be used to buy certain items exclusive to only Ironmen and Group Ironmen.

Daily Reward Manager

By talking to the Daily Reward Manager you can claim a reward everyday, you must have a minimum total level of 250 to be able to collect your daily rewards( you can only do this for one account a day not multiple ).

Fire of Molten Shards(FoMS), Upgrade Anvil, Teleport Beam, and Refreshing Pool

Slightly Southwest of the Grand Exchange and Bank there is the FoMS, Upgrade Anvil, Teleport Beam, and Refreshing Pool.

Fire of Molten Shards(FoMS)

The FoMS is where you can sacrifice equipment, sigils, clue items, and misc boss drops to get shards ( right click the FoMS flame to see the sacrifice rates ). The shards can be exchanged for items in the Molten Shards Shop.

Upgrade Anvil

The Upgrade Anvil can be used to upgrade weapons, armour, and tools. You can find more information about it here: Upgrade Anvil

Teleport Beam

The Teleport Beam can be used to teleport to Bosses, Monsters, Skill locations, Minigames, Wilderness locations, Dungeons, and Cities (Other).

Refreshing Pool

The Refreshing Pool can be used to replenish your stats, health, and prayer.

Grace, Sigmund the Merchant, and Thieving Stalls

West of the Fire of Molten Shards(FoMS), Upgrade Anvil, Teleport Beam, and Refreshing Pool is Grace, Sigmund the Merchant, and Thieving Stalls.

Grace

By trading Grace you get access to the Grace's Graceful Store where she can sell you Graceful, Graceful Recolor Boxes, and Amylase packs for marks of grace.

Thieving Stalls

There are four different Thieving Stalls:

Baker's stall - Requires level 5 Thieving

Silk stall - Requires level 20 Thieving

Silver stall - Requires level 50 Thieving

Gem stall - Requires level 75 Thieving

Sigmund the Merchant

He will purchase the items that you have stolen from the Thieving Stalls.

Miscellaneous Shops, Sell Me Store, Code Master, Perdu, and Max Cape

To the south of the Grand Exchange and Bank there are different shops which will be talked about later, the Sell Me Store, Code Master, Perdu, and a Max Cape.

Combat Shops

There are 3 three different Combat Shops which are the Magic, Melee, and Ranged shops where you can buy equipment respective to each style.

Boss Point Shop

You can buy certain items from the Boss Point Shop by spending Boss points (obtained by killing bosses in game).

The Cook

The Cook sells a variety of potions and food in case you don't want to make/fish/cook them yourself.

Zahur

Zahur can decant your potions, clean your grimy herbs, create unfinished potions, and sell you secondaries for Herblore training.

Sell Me Store

You can sell items to the Sell Me Store at (will add the % once I find out) of the value of the item.

Code Master

The Code Master is where you put in a referral code for a reward when you first login, you can always ask in chat or Discord what referral codes are available. You can also look under the videos section in the Discord to see the referral codes.

Perdu

Perdu can repair your broken items and let you claim back items that have degraded for a fee.

Max Cape

Allows you to teleport to Max "Prison" where you can buy Skill capes as well as the Max Cape - Max Caper Luke sells the Max Cape.

Gambling Area, Watson, and PKP Manager

Further North of the Grand Exchange and Bank, you can cross the bridge to the Gambling Area. If you turn left after the bridge you will see Watson, and North of Watson near the Wilderness ditch will be the PKP Manager.

Gambling Area

The Gambling Area is where you can gamble other players in Flower Poker. There is a Gambler Shop NPC in the Southeast corner that can exchange your coins for platinum tokens and vice versa. He will also sell you mithril seeds to gamble with.

Watson

You can exchange Easy, Medium, Hard, and Elite clue scrolls (as a set) for Master clue scrolls.

PKP Manager

The PKP Manager allows you to exchange emblems for coins, skull yourself, disable streak interface, and buy items from the PKP Store for PKP points.

Starting Out

Alright, now that you are familiar with the commands and home area it's time to get into how to progress and what you should do starting out!

Voting

The first thing you should do is vote with the ::vote command, you are able to vote every 12 hours and you are rewarded with Vote Crystals which can be exchanged for Vote points or sold to other players. If you decide to use the Vote points you can use them at the Voting Shop. Every 50 votes spawns a Vote boss called Delanor, you can get there by using the ::voteboss command. During the first week of each month only 25 votes are required to spawn it.

It is a group boss that drops two Vote keys that can be used at the Vote Key Chest and 15m gp. The rewards from the Vote Key Chest are quite juicy and can help as you progress along your journey in Delanor.

Botting

One of the tabs you’ll see will be for botting. That’s right Delanor has legal botting. Your bot time will refresh every 24hours and how much time you get will depend on your donator rank. You can also buy bot time scrolls from players in game (if you’re a main) as well as the Vote/Donator store and FoMS shops.

Progressing

Here comes the juicy information!

There is no right or wrong way to play and the type of adventure you want is completely up to you, with that being said there is a typical progression that most players follow when starting out.

First Step

Do Pest Control so you can get Void as early as possible, it has many different uses and isn't to difficult to obtain. While that does mean you have to spend quite a bit of time there don't worry it is bottable! It's a great way to farm ingredient boxes which give items like raw food, seeds, and herblore secondaries.

As you begin training your skills (botting Pest Control still gives you experience) more actively you will starting gaining experience to your Battle pass which has an abundance of rewards. The Battle pass resets every month and can be claimed on up to 3 accounts per player. The premium Battle pass is available as well and so are the resets for it. To access your Battle pass simply do ::bp to see and claim the rewards. It's very handy for new ironman accounts due to it providing a lot of useful items.

Second Step

After you get your Void and your levels up before starting any endgame pvm content like Raids, Nex, Duke, etc. you should get 70 Slayer which will give you access to Crystalline Slayer. Crystalline Slayer is great because you can get Crystalline Keys and Crystal armour. The Crystalline Keys are used for the Hunllef fight or by using on the Upgrade Anvil (able to make Hunleff Keys to avoid fighting Hunllef), to fight Hunllef you need atleast two combat styles or you will not live. Hunllef has even better loot (primarily the Crystal weapons and Corrupted armour) that will help you progress to the next steps!

If you haven't already start working to get your total level to 750 so that you are able to access Raids. Getting to level 60 Mining and Woodcutting is useful because you are able to start participating in ::skillevents which provide you a lot of materials.

Ironmen accounts should focus on Farming and Herblore so they are prepared for Raids by having plenty of potions available (Mains should to but it's not as essential due to being able to buy the supplies from other players).

If you get any pets during your grind you can use Sigils on them to make your gameplay even stronger. You will need to level up your pets so they can hold more Sigils (up to five). For your Sigils you have to use them in numerical order to make the same type of Sigil level up in your pet (example: You need to use Sigil of Abundance (Tier 1) first before you can add Sigil of Abundance (Tier 2).

Final Step

Now that you are geared up in hopefully atleast Crystal, it's time to start doing Raids, Nex, Duke, etc. so that you can progress even further into the endgame!

Note: If you have Corrupted armour it will be easier to do the endgame bosses.

I will not be going over Raids as there are guides available for it on the Wiki.
